Spoopy board games for October

Sun October 16 at 1:00 PM, Frankford Hall
1210 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA, USA (Map & Directions)
As usual, it's taken me forever to get another proposed event together because I am terrible with numbers, and events, and time. But! With the season of the witch nearly upon us, what better time to try a thematic board game meetup?
Of course, we should bring old favorites regardless of theme just in case that's what everyone actually feels like doing on the day of, but right now I'm hoping to bring both Fury of Dracula, one of the all-time classic hidden movement games (or, if I can't get my hands on it before it goes out of print yet again, Letters from Whitechapel) and Betrayal at House on the Hill as options.

Frankford Hall is kind of the default location, but if anyone wants to suggest an alternative location, we can try something new.

OK. Any days that are off limits, or are most Sundays in October possible?

Also something I let slide for far too long: are people still interested in a Pandemic Legacy campaign? I'll send out an email checking in with the group that had expressed interest, but if I recall the last thread we were close to having enough interest to get a second group together.

Sundays are definitely best for me! And yeah, I'm still up for Pandemic Legacy :)

Sorry, no legacy pandemic interest from me.

October is very busy for me but I'll try and make this one. I am still interested in Pandemic Legacy!

OK, cool- looks like we've got enough people to start looking at days. I can't do the 2nd, but any other Sunday should be fine.

Diskeater, are any weekends more likely to be free than others?

And lazaruslong, while I'd have to sit it out for fear of spoilers (only halfway through season 2, which is a travesty, I know), that would be awesome! I've heard really good things about the GoT boardgame. If it's an expansive enough game, do you think it might be worth setting up a second meetup for it as well?

Okay, going to go ahead and tentatively set this for the 16th.

The only Sunday that 100% doesn't work for me is the 23rd so the 16th should be fine.

Here's a review of Fury of Dracula, and a quick overview of how it plays if anyone's interested.

Sorry to hear it- if people are up for it, we could get a quick turnaround scheduling a second meetup (I know, I always say this and forget) in early November?

BTW, how is today looking for everybody? I'll be heading down in a little while myself (though I'm leaving Fury of Dracula at home, now that I've had a chance to pore over the rules and realize that a. it takes 2-3 hours and b. that is with a group that knows how to play it...)

Just a heads up, I'm going to head home at around 2:30 if nobody else shows.
