Oxford Mefites! Up for some food and board games?
I'm going to be in the city of Oxford all day Thursday, 18 November. If you're in the area and available to meet up, I'm planning on eating at Far From the Madding Crowd that afternoon and would love some company!

I've decided to just make this a confirmed event, but I'm flexible -- if there's a time/place that works better for you, let me know! (I admit it, I only chose this pub because of the name and the mention of board games.) I'll be around the entire day; free-ish, but sans my own transportation.

Hope some of you can make it!

It's an excellent little pub. I've never eaten there myself, but it has some amazingly comfortable armchairs and a good selection of drinks.

I'm free all day on Thursday, so if I can make it into Oxford, I'll happily join you. I'm rather silent on MeFi but always happy to meet new people.

I'm in! Barring unforseen circumstances, which always seem to scuttle my meet-up plans. I've only been there once, but it seems like a really good pub.

Damn, I've only just heard about this and have other plans, otherwise I would have been there like a shot. Looks like I need to add the IRL "Oxford" tag to my feed reader to avoid future disappointment.

I'm still hoping to be there, but I have a job interview this afternoon in another city (Reading), and I'm not sure if I'll be up to making my way to Oxford after it. If I can't make it, I hope you all have a lovely time.

And in the end it was a micro-meetup; just bluestocking & myself. Still, it was good to say hello to a fellow mefite regardless!
