My fancy gaming table has finally arrived, and it's time to take it for a test... drive? There will be the usual assortment of board and card games to choose from (or bring your own!). Food details inside.
Also we just got our copy of my brother's company's new game, Truths Too Terrible, so we'll bring that along and do some Lovecraftian detecting maybe.

Game day is almost here! For food, there is a great Thai chicken place nearby that opened recently. We will take orders once people arrive, but if you plan on joining us late and would like us to pick something up, please let me know.
Unfortunately, they do not have any non-meat options, so we will also have some cheese pizza available. If there's something else you'd like us to have on hand, let me know that, too.
For dessert, there will be sugar cookies. See you on Sunday!

My weekend plans fell through, so--if it's OK for a total gaming noob to participate, I believe I'll drive down! (A mature person, of course, would use her newly-free time to catch up on adult-type home maintenance chores, which, bleah.)

Home maintenance is for squares. Come on down! And most of the time with any given game we end up playing at these, most folks playing haven't played it before, so you've got nothing to worry about.

As long as no one person objects to both cheese pizza and chicken, I think we're ok food-wise. I am a bit concerned about your allergies, though, fiercekitten. We've cleaned the common areas, but the dog will be here, and I'm afraid we can't isolate him (he freaks out and is likely to hurt himself). I don't want to discourage you from coming, but I don't want you to be miserable either.

I notice the Thai place also has Khao Kamoo, which is pork and rice, and Kanom Bang Ping, some sort of sweet milk toast stuff. No idea if either of those sound good to you, but they sure are fun to say. Bang Ping!
