Hoosier Mefites, how ya been? It's been a while- lets do something as soon as the current cold snap subsides.
Open for ideas as to venue and date, so chime in!

Indianapolis here. I'm down. I could make it to Bloomington some evening or weekend, subject to my schedule of course. It'll be cool to meet so many of you I know from MeFi.

The wife and I could probably come depending on the day of week and where it's at. We've had them in Indy the last few times, but can go for a bit of a drive.

Indy-area here, and would be willing to drive a bit to Bloomington or elsewhere on a weekend. On a weeknight I'd stay within the Indy metro area. I have plans the weekends of Feb. 21/22 and Feb. 28/Mar. 1 but after that March weekends are looking pretty open for me.

I'm watching the weather forecasts-
As to venue, it seems that Indy is still the central location- someplace convenient to 465 might make things a bit easier for out-of-towners to get to IMHO.
Your thoughts?

I'm probably good any time, if it's in Indy. With this nutty weather, I'd suggest as late in March as possible. Surely we'll be done with the crazy cold weather by then.
If you're looking to stay close to 465, I suggest avoiding anything on the far east side. I grew up over there. It's not pretty. My only venue request is some place with a reasonable beer menu.

Open to suggestions for Venue, although we had one good meetup at Jockamo's in Irvington, I'd like to change things up a bit, and seek a Northside location, maybe in the vicinity of 465 & I-69 or Beech Grove if we have a large contingent of Southsiders. What looks good to you?

Both of those dates are workable for me. 465/69 or Beech Grove works for me. There is going to be a better beer selection around 465/69, I think. (I don't drink beer so somebody chime in here.)

Pjern...a good place near 465 and 69 would be the Chatham Tap in Fishers. Good bar food, good beer, and I believe they also have an alcove-ish area on the bar side of the room.

21st would be preferable to me, if only because I don't have a lot of faith in this weather warming up appreciably by the 14th. Plus, it's post St. Patrick's day, so the place is less apt to be overrun by drunk leprechauns.

This is just down the road from us, so we should definitely be able to make it.
Quick note, though... this is also the first weekend of the NCAA tournament, so they might be a bit crazy (especially if a local team actually makes it there).

I hadn't thought about March Madness. That might be a problem. At least the bar side of Chatham has screens playing sporting events. Though, when I've been there, it's been stuff like Premier League, and not US sports. Still... might be something to consider.

I called the Chatham Tap people- they don't take reservations on Saturdays, but suggested for a group of our size, that we get someone in there 90 minutes ahead of time to help reserve space- the more accurate the count we can give them the better.
