I've never been greeted at the door at Nanobrew. I'm not sure they'd know what to do about a reservation request. I've been to a couple meetups and usually I just look for a group or a person with an unnatural interest in watching the door.

I think once someone made a sign? Does anyone own any Metafilter stuff? I know there are official shirts and I've seen unofficial pins. Someone who's expecting to get there on time should just wear any conspicuous t-shirt of their choice and let us know ahead of time.

Creepy hands! I will bring the creepy hands my mom gifted me that are supposed to hold your phone but I keep them out of sight as a bookend instead, because they're frightening.

Seriously though if they have those metal order-number-holder things, I'll stick this in one of those instead.

I was the guy with the shaved head & long goatee & black-framed glasses wearing a black hoodie & T-shirt - IOW, I pretty much look like a soundguy.

It was nice to meet you and the other MeFites I hadn't met before & nice to see the others again.

There was general agreement that we should do meetups more often than every couple of years, and that maybe the next one could be a little more activity-oriented, like something with board games.

I was the short guy who showed up a little late, made at least one questionable parenting decision involving my 12 year old's driving privileges, and got kicked in the balls by Nick Cave. Not in that order, of course. I'm all for meeting up again soon, though I'd be fine just meeting for drinks again.
