Fellow Milwaukeeans, the time has come for us to follow up our fantastic meet-up in September with the much-anticipated sequel. I'm completely open to time, location and date. BE THERE OR BE FROM CHICAGO.

This bar is even closer to my house than the last one, so I will be there for sure. I believe Uptowner is cash only, and those of us who enjoy a fine cocktail will be SOL for the evening because it is the dive to end all dives.
And [every-other-]Thursdays do work well for me -- including Thursday 11/6 -- because I have every other Friday off of work and can thus afford to be felled by the brutal hangover that strikes whenever I dare to enjoy more than one adult beverage.
The tentative date is only two days after the gubernatorial election, so consider this advance warning: if Walker the Boy King retains his crown... I'm going to need more than one adult beverage.

Can confirm: Uptowner is definitely cash-only -- bring cash with you, too, because their ATM is constantly on the fritz. And speaking from experience, it's best to stick to the drinks they offer that come in bottles and cans.
So we're doing Wednesday instead of Thursday? That still works for me, but my almost-certain grief post-election will probably be pretty raw only 23 hours after the polls close, and I'll probably only be able to stay for a round 'cause I get up super-early for work.

Tonight's the night! Election Day was a freaking bloodbath and I have two meetings to chair between now and then, so it'll be extra-nice to kick back with a drink and some MeFites after everything is said and done.
