The Potate and I are looking to form a team (of up to 6) for quiz night. It's every Tuesday night at Hotel Congress. It doesn't necessarily have to be this Tuesday or the next, just any Tuesday mefites can come. We are dorky people who love trivial questions! (and beer!)
Oh, lizjohn, we two are on the level, when it comes to geeky pursuits in the OP*! I've been looking for people to join up with for this. I have one other besides me who is definitely interested. (We have a team name already: Edmund Hillary's Sherpa. Because we can carry our own weight.)

And I just wanted to say, to those Phoenicians and poor people stranded in Casa Grande (I know a few), you are most welcome to come down to our little Communist backwater for MeFite gatherings. We have many fun passtimes down here, and we want any MeFite within 100 miles.

I know the meet-up says 8, but maybe we should gather at 7:45 or so at the lobby bar? John and I(Liz) will try to be there early.

I just checked the website and it's going to be $5 special admission tonight and a South Park theme. If you're looking for us, we're a mid-20's couple, I'll have on a grey shirt and grey jacket and John will be wearing...something.

I ended up getting hit with a nasty cold Tuesday. I actually did plan to get out there before it hit me, and I kinda figured it'd be best to not bring the germs around other people.
