MeFi Meet-Up for MetaFilter's Fifteenth Anniversary!
WHO: Louisville and Kentuckiana MeFites!
WHAT: MetaFilter will celebrate fifteen years of bean-plating on July 14th! It's the week before Forecastle, and therefore the perfect excuse to get together somewhere and drink, eat, and enjoy our fellow MeFites.
WHERE: Molly Malone's, 933 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204.
WHEN: Tuesday, July 15th, 2014. Cocktails: 6pm - 6:30pm Dining: 7pm - ?
OTHER: Based on response thus far, I'm not doing anything like booking a separate room. We'll just get together and grab a table and some beers. :) Please note that while Molly's does not have an actual plate of beans on the menu, they do offer White Bean Hummus and Black Bean Burgers.
All that said, I just found today out that I'm going to have to work Tuesday evening, so I won't be there (sadface.jpg). If someone else can please take the lead to be the Head MeFite In Charge at the restaurant, getting people together, wearing a MetaFilter t-shirt, and/or otherwise identifying yourself to others as someone who spends far too much time on this web site, I would appreciate it!

I'll call Colin and see how late he typically stays open for the LGS's Board Game night. I haven't been in a while, but believe he usually stays open until 10pm or so.

An update!
I spoke to Colin, and he says that board game nights during the week he stays open until 8pm. It's only on Saturday nights that he stays open later.
So if we get together for supper at, say, 6pm on the 15th, that wouldn't really give us much time for board games.
We can pick another date, or drop the gaming. What say you?

I am interested in the meetup--pretty flexible with dates and anything (Molly's or wherever, games or no games) sounds fun. Holy Grale especially ;)

mags, I say drop the gaming and have that as a separate meetup another time (excuse to have another!) in which we all just go in dedicated to a quick meal and then hardcore gaming.

acorncup, my thought was to pick a central location, one that inconvenienced everyone, so to speak.
That said, if others want to move the event to St. Matthews, I have no objection whatsoever and will update the event accordingly.

Since the notice has went out, I'll head to the other Molly's. I think it will inconvenience me just a touch instead of a lot. I'll just plan one next time so that I can choose somewhere in St. Matts.
