Siberian winds descend upon central Europe, gluhwein displace the ingwertee. This means time for another Metafilter meetup. Anyone still here for December, who wants to meet up for a cake/chat/beer/tea before the holidays (or between)?
Update: Set for Monday Dec 9th, Cafe Luxembourg, Mitte, close to Alexanderplatz. Looking onto Volksbuhne.
Weihnachtsmarkt! I'm sorta busy this weekend with music-related things, but if there's a weekday meetup next week, I'll try to drag my butt out there.

I'll be in Berlin from the 20th of December onwards. I guess all schedules won't line up, but I'll show up to something if I can.

Super! I can do weekdays, including first Monday night now, but not next weekend and not core holiday, but gluhwein is only here once a year so I wouldn't mind a second round, thank you.
How about we set a tentative Monday night, to catch susoka, does this work for some of us? And then perhaps we can also try to meet later in December, for Alex404 and others who haven't seen this yet. (Also then I have another excuse for the gluh.)
I'm in Neukolln. Where's a good area for you others?

Monday would be great!
I'm working in Alexanderplatz and have no sense of geography... I'll be able to escape from work from 6 pm onwards, so anything that's not too far away from a U/S/tram line on Alexanderplatz would be awesome.

Okay! Monday 7 pm? Close to Alexanderplatz the only place I can think of is Cafe Luxemburg, walkable, in front of Volksbuhne, Rosa Luxembourgplatz. This could be central if multiple persons comes from all over the place, unless we arrive just before a play. Another option is a short metro ride down U8 to Schönleinstrasse in Kreuzberg, and head into Böchstrasse or Bürknestrasse towards Maybachufer. There are lots of cozy warm places along the canal but of course cannot remember any names, except Zitrone (Dieffenbachstraße 56) because I always get the taste of lemons in my mouth when biking past it. Branding...

Top! Looking forward. I set the data for the event, I also called Angela Merkel and she will look into the disorganized snow issue.
I will try to remember put a paper with METAFILTER or INTERNET on the table, but sometimes I forget, and i might be few minutes late. See you tomorrow!

I think I met some of you last year when I had my birthday in Berlin. It is still one of my fondest travel memories, I hope y'all had a wonderful time at your meetup. Frohe Weihnachten!
