Sat November 2 at 3:30 PM, Powell's on Burnside, Green Room
1005 West Burnside Street, Portland, OR, USA (Map & Directions)
MeFi favorite Allie Brosh has a new book coming out. She will be at Powell's Books on Burnside November 2. We should make this a thing! Meet in the Green Room off Burnside around 3:30pm and we'll go from there!
The event starts at 4pm, probably in the Pearl Room, you can buy copies of the book on site.

Followers will know she's been working on this for quite a while.

She's appeared on the Blue most recently discussing menace but has appeared many times before.

This may not be an actual performance, but we can always add some interpretive dance around the "Pod" sculpture across the street.

*cough* Pearl room.

Okay, now that I'm done being difficult about book room nomenclature, this does sound super fun and, barring other seasonal events (apple cider pressings, corn mazes), I think this would be cool.

Man, I wonder how tired she is of people asking her if she plans to "sign...ALL the books!"

I'm going to make this official. We can meet in the Green Room off Burnside around 3:30 and get seats or coffee or whatever, depending on the crowd. Will it be Chuck Palahniuk sized? Don't know.

Glad you brought the Portland signing to my attention! Preordered the book, but wasn't watching for related events. Would've missed it, and that would've been sad!

I'm heading out now. I'll be around, somewhere, wearing a book-themed shirt unironically.

I'm somewhere over by the audiobooks downstairs, waiting in the giant line to even go upstairs. I might abandon ship at some point, though. This is nuts!

We are now at Deschutes: 11th & Davis

Well that was insane. After leaving around 4pm for Deschutes we came back to try to get a copy of her book. The lady at Information told me that they were completely sold out. They started with 500 copies and sold all of them. I did get a copy from Cedar Hills (signed!) so it's like I was actually there.

We learned an important lesson in the help section today: Don't Sweat the Small Stuff.
