Mon July 29 at 7:30 PM, Tommy Doyle's Harvard Square
96 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, MA, USA (Map & Directions)
You know the drill people: Geeks Who Drink. Monday. 7:30. Tommy Doyle's. Taters. Beer.
If you don't know the drill, see here.
It's only DiscourseMarker and I that have to repeat as the captains, so no worries, anybody else can be on the team, depending on when they show up. As with last time, those over the 6-person limit can form an ad hoc second team.

I was a Life Scout (the rank below Eagle) but I always hated knots. I just don't have the right brain for topology.

I've fallen prey to a meeting scheduled for early tomorrow morning, so since there's a quorum I'm going to take the week off and trust you all to manage in my absence. (More's the pity, since the categories sound like fun, albeit not fully within my areas of expertise. Nope, no sir-ee, I know nothing about any of that. Not a whit. No help here.)

If this turns out to be the week where one of the not-previewed categories is "16th century French warfare," we're gonna be pretty sad.

I was a life scout as well. I know how to tie a bowline, half hitch and a sheepshank.
I didn't make it home last night until 4am since my flight got canceled I and had to drive back in from Philly. I still want to make it tonight, but theres a chance I might bail and go to bed early. Hope to see you guys there.

I was, in fact, but it was the cookie variety, as opposed to the tying things up variety.

There are many reasons that would be sad besides my absence. Just guess "trebuchet" or "petard" or "caltrop" - you'll likely be fine.
