Lazaruslong and SpiffyRob live in Philly now! Let's all drink to celebrate!
In the last few months Philly has seen the arrival of certified badass SpiffyRob and the stone cold fox Lazaruslong and it’s time for a proper welcome party!
When:Sometime during the evening between Monday February 18th and Friday February 22nd. My personal vote would be for that Monday or Tuesday. Confirmed for Wednesday, February 20th at 7pm unless there's an outcry to move this to Tuesday.
Where:A place with alcohol. I think Barcade is a good choice because it is easily accessible via public transit (Girard stop off the MFL and I think there are a few buses / trolleys nearby too), has a decent beer selection, and arcade games so we don’t have to awkwardly stare at each other for too long. There’s also plenty of space and it’s never crowded during the week. However, it is located in Fishtown/Northern Libs and that may be kind of a hike for people so I’m open to a venue that’s more centrally located. Confirmed for Barcade.

That week is pretty open for me. I'd pick Tuesday if it were up to me, but my standing Monday/Wednesday night plans are very loose and skippable, and I'll come out whichever night we choose.

I am totally in favor of this plan! I would vote for not-Monday and something a little closer to Center City, but I realize that I live in a lame, far-off place. Even if I can't come, welcome again to Philly, SpiffyRob and Lazaruslong!

The overall consensus is not-Monday so how does Wednesday sound to everyone? That would be my personal vote.
I'm also going to choose Barcade as the official venue unless there's a sudden 11th hour opposition to it and if you oppose Barcade, you oppose four-player MeFite TMNT action.

It's really easy to get there via subway. Hop on any Eastbound MFL train to Girard. Barcade is a block or two from Girard station. You can also take the BSL to City Hall and transfer to the MFL for free.

Heh! You're near 11th and Walnut, right? There's a Market Frankford Line stop at 11th and Market (as well as 13th and 15th st). Walk there and follow the signs for the Eastbound (towards Frankford Transportation Center) side of the track. Trains come frequently and the ride is less than 10 minutes. The Girard stop is right after Spring Garden.
That part of Fishtown has a ton of bars so you should have no problems getting a taxi if you want to go that route.

Seriously though, thanks to everyone that came out tonight. Special thanks to jessypie for being my train sherpa. I think I'm starting to understand those gosh darned contraptions. Also, my fellow Party Dudes that let me be the Raphael in our epic company.
We partied. We partied hard. We ate pizza, destroyed mouse robots, and had difficulty remembering which one was Bebop and which one was Rocksteady.
