Jersey City Indian food holiday meetup

It's been a while since the last Jersey City meetup -- I've been wanting to call one since the electricity was restored to Newark Ave, and was waiting on the weekend PATH service to be restored but I'm tired of waiting. Who's up for another Rasoi buffet?
I'm busy on Saturday 12/22, but could do Sunday 12/23, or sometime New Year's Eve weekend if everyone is traveling and/or busy with family stuff Christmas weekend. How about it? I need some real food to look forward to after the madness that was Flavortown.
I can do either weekend. I have a very slight preference for New Year's weekend, because that's a rough time for me and I could use good company.

Don't know my holiday travel schedule yet, but this is one of my favorite annual meetups, so I hope I can make it.

I have wanted to come to previous versions of these. For me to make this one, though, it would have to be after New Years.

Oh man, didn't realize the PATH train weekend service wasn't running! I guess I pretty much have to wait for that anyway.

If someone dependent on PATH really wanted to come, I live very near to Metro Park (though if you're going all the way to Metro Park, you might as well just get Indian food on Oaktree Avenue), or I could swing past Secaucus Junction on my way to the meetup. Regular NJ Transit is still running on weekends. I'd be driving anyway, and it's pretty much on the way.

I think they've been running the WTC line only on weekends, but they shut them all down again during the past weekend because of the ongoing repairs, so there's no predicting what will be running when.

Assuming one of the PATH lines is running I'd come back to JC for the new years weekend. Sounds fun! (I will be gone the weekend before Christmsa)

What time on 12/30? I'm walking distance from Rasoi, so depending on when it is I could make it. :)

Looks like we can count on the PATH trains running more frequently over New Year's weekend - yesterday the trains started running from Hoboken to 33rd St for the first time since the flooding, and according to the press release the return of limited 24-hour PATH service is expected by year’s end and in time for New Year’s Eve.

For any NYC mefites interested in joining us, the PATH trains are running via the 33rd street stations to Journal Square (map & schedule) this weekend, not the WTC station. Just take the train to Journal Square, go up all of the escalators, head out towards JFK Boulevard (go past the Duane Reade and the statue of Jackie Robinson), walk a few blocks to Newark Ave, turn left and look for the Rasoi sign.

Poor Wretch, I hope you're feeling better this morning. I had some weird barometric pressure or sinus headache last night, but it seems to have gone away at last mid-morning. I'm gonna start walking over to Rasoi now.
