Update: I'm fixing it for the 8th, after work hours'ish, 1800? I haven't been to Südblock but new places are always nice, it is close to Kottbusser U and short walk to the canal if weather is great?
Dearest Berlin Metafilters, August meetup? Flammkuchen that is not a burning kitchen, but great anyway?
I know it is continental holidays, some of you probably paused the wnderschn bundesrepublik for grner pastres, but also maybe somebody visiting during summer?
For a start: How about end of next week, August 8-9-10-11, it works for anyone? After work hours? 19ish? Very open to suggestions, for dates/times/locations!

Es tut mir leid. I'll be either working or in Niederbayern at that point, and Berlin is a little too far for an afterwork daytrip on the train. If you have another meetup later in the year (preferably on a weekend day), I'll absolutely try to make it, though.

Der 8. August klappt für mich! I have a friend visiting on the 9th, and I suspect that we will not be awake during daylight hours for the entire weekend, knowing him. But the 8th would be lovely.
Flammkuchen at Bully's Bakery? Or beer and pastrami sandwiches at Südblock? One of the cafés further down the Landwehrkanal? Something on Lausitzer Platz? Or maybe a picnic along the canal (weather permitting)?
(I'm sort of assuming that most of us are in Xberg and/or Neukölln. If we want to hit another neighborhood, I'm also game.)

Unfortunately I looks like I'll have to pass this time. On those dates I'll have relatives visiting and besides I'm busy right now finishing what I am finishing.

Looks like 8th works for some of us... and if I read you busy guys correctly, it doesn't matter what day we do it now, you're not free until later.
Anyone else in town, should we settle for Wednesday 8th (next week), sometime after work hours?
If weather permits I would love to get outdoors!

So sad I missed you guys! I had a houseguest arriving just the day afterwards, and I ended up being inundated with last-minute preparations and work.
