I'll be there with a friend! Still working on arrival/housing/departure (as per Ask thread), so I don't know when/where is best yet.
FWIW: I suspect we'll be in one of the cheapo motels near 95&Brighton Ave. We will probably be car-less because I like trains.

Well, we're two days away, so I thought I'd at least update you guys on my plans.
My friend and I are planning on driving up late Saturday morning, probably arriving in Portland around 1PM. We'll drop our stuff at our South Portland hotel and drive in to town, finding parking God knows where, probably entering the grounds 2 to 3ish. It's just the two of us, so we'd be happy to meet up with other folks and hang out with a larger group.
I'm not entirely sure how late we'll want to stay out - it will depend on how tired we are, how insane the traffic is (if we'll just be sitting in traffic, we might as well sit in a bar!), and when we have to move the car.
If folks are interested in possibly gathering blankets inside the festival or just getting together for dinner or beers later, I'd be happy to MeMail folks my cell number. I've never been to Portland so I really have no idea of how all this is going to work, but I'm excited and looking forward to meeting some of you!

OK, I've just sent suki my cell number. I don't have a smart phone, I have a rather dumb phone, so I'll be hard to reach except by cell. My friend has a smart phone, so I may get her to let me check here, but I won't be able to post.
Have a blast any way about it, folks. I'm hoping it's cooler up in Portland - it's already shaping up to be a hot day here in Boston.
