88 Orchard St, New York, NY, USA (Map & Directions)
Board games at 88 Orchard (88 Orchard St. @ Broome St.) on the Lower East Side, 1-11pm.
MeTa.

Facebook.

On the day of the meetup, 88 Orchard's Twitter might have a magic word that will get you free coffee if you say it when ordering.

Please be aware that 88 Orchard has a hidden-away basement level -- I'm not sure which level we'll be at.

88 Orchard (which has a full food and drink menu) already has Scrabble and other board games, and some people are bringing their own. No prior board game knowledge is required. See you there!

That's near my new place! Yay! I'll try to stop by.

Cool!

If someone has a Scrabble dictionary, that would probably be useful (I don't know if 88 Orchard has one -- I bet they don't). I imagine Scrabble will be one of the more popular games, and I wouldn't want us to get derailed by "Is that a real word?" debates. (I'm sure you can get it on the internet, but one of the Yelp reviews said the wireless connection is spotty.)

I'll be there a little before 5:00 once the USA-Ghana match is over.

I have no idea where my scrabble dictionary is. I will look for it but do not promise to be able to find it.
