As long as it's not Labour Day weekend I'm game. If this ends up happening this'd be my first meetup. I always mean to interact more with the site, but I'm pretty much a hard core lurker (Relationshipfilter being my guilty pleasure).

Love to do it! The Hop-In brew was a lot of fun the last two times we were there. I'm pretty good any weekend except the 25th/26th.

OK, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest either the 11th or 18th. I also think we should get there early - The Hop-In Brew ramps up the music volume the later it gets.

They have great food, so dinner time is a good option.

Yup. Some travelling for me this upcoming month -- especially weekends -- but if I'm in town I'll be looking forward to it for sure.

I'm in. Whole month's pretty free and clear for me, but I'm wondering if a Saturday's optimal for attendance. If we said "weekend of the 18th," would people vote Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun?

I'm arriving back in town that same weekend, so I'd be happy to make the Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun of the weekend of the 18th work. Whatever's easiest for all.

I'd be interested - I'm photographing a wedding in Banff on the 18th but nights around that may work. We have a 4-month-old, too, though, so it requires some high-powered negotiations for me to get a night off.

I should be able to make any of the Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun work on the weekend of the 18th...my preference is for the Fri/Sat

We've had German meetups at Kawa Espresso Bar, which I strongly recommend over Hop n Brew- Kawa has the city's best assortment of beers, good food and superb coffee, is better for conversation, and the owners are super accommodating. As long as it's not booked for a music performance it's a good choice.

I'd recommend NOT late- like 6pm.

Weekend for the 18th is fine with me. Actually any day, any time other than "late."

Fri/Sat/Sun of the 18th time-frame would work, should be back in town. Early is better as well.

Friday evening, Saturday anytime, or Sunday morning/afternoon for me. And if anyone from South of Calgary needs a ride, they can hop in.

That's a bad weekend for me, as we're organizing a food drive for the Food Bank in the SE that weekend, but if I get a bit of free time, I might be able to stop by. Good luck!

I just got booked for an out-of-town stand-up comedy gig on the night of the 18th - I couldn't bring myself to say no. Hopefully we can settle on Friday or Sunday rather than Saturday.

That weekend is my birthday, and I am trying to make plans for a party - so I need a date firmed up pretty soon.

How is Friday evening for everyone? Earliest I can be there is 7:30 (driving from Lethbridge) but feel free to start without me - others have suggested 6pm. Kawa espresso bar?

I notice that this is on neither list of upcoming meetups on the MetaTalk page.... Once its firmed up (sounds like there's a certain amount of convergence on Friday the 17th), this should be updated.

I'll be in attendance. I'll take a gander at people's profile pics right before I leave to try and recognize people. If you see a half Asian guy who looks like he's in his mid/late 20s sporting an orange Vuarnet t-shirt, that'll be me (hopefully that's a unique enough description... pretty sure no one wears Vuarnet anymore, but one never knows).

Hi folks, I am so sorry to do this, but I have to back out of tomorrow night. My life has just gotten too crazy-busy and I can't afford the time to drive into Calgary anymore. I hope some of the maybe and drop-bys can make it, and please keep me posted if there's another meetup anytime soon.
