LIVE from the Lab Comedy Night
Live From the Lab started as a weekly happy hour open mic night but is now the first (and sadly only) monthly Indie Comedy Night in DC. I'm not really sure what Indie Comedy is but I know we're the only ones trying to do something weird you can't find at the comedy clubs. We've got a dozen incredible comics (including Mefi's own comedy genius i_foody), sketch groups, and one dedicated dramatic monologist all taking comedy to it's logical extreme and way beyond it. Expect to get offended and possibly educated accidentally. [more inside]

The Family Hemerlein Variety Show: BURST Edition
The Family Hemerlein Variety Show is a music and comedy stage show I've been producing for the past 8 months, co-hosted by my friends Seaton Smith and Matthew Hemerlein. It's very cool, and very funny, and always sells out (and it has in the past included Metafilter's best comedian I_foody!) This weekend we'll be putting on the show in Rosslyn VA, at the brand new giant arts complex Artisphere's Domed Theater. Did I mention the open bar? There is an open bar. [more inside]
