Fall in Dallas

It's finally beautiful out in the Big D. Let's meet up, have a drink, eat something, and celebrate.
C'mon, Dallas, we've been shown up in meetups by every other Texas city. You guys are awesome; we have a great presence here. Let's meet up and show everyone else who's boss.
October is State Fair season, so we could do something in conjunction with that, or just a random evening for trivia at Trinity Hall. I'm all for ideas. I'd just like to make something happen.

I'm in, except for state fair stuff. Crowds like that frighten me. But, otherwise, I'm up for just about anything. I'd love to see the Dallas Mefites again!

Ok, now that there's at least moderate appeal (and I'm counting my Mefite wife as a vote), do we want to just go to a place to get drinks and chill? Or food? Or both?
I figure that might be better than an event where we're all paying attention to multiple things. Because we should be social, dontchaknow.

Yeeeeah, meetups! I never have ideas for anything event-related, but I am excited to show up!

Well, I like Trinity Hall. But I'm easy to please. I like the drinking and eating idea, especially if it can be achieved somewhere that's actually quiet enough to hear conversations.
Also, I would request that it be held somewhere reachable by public transportation.

Ok - I'm glad we've drummed up interest. Right now, I'd aim for something during the week, somewhere along 75. I might suggest the patio of Cane Rosso, or if getting a little further away from transit is ok, Bolsa in Bishop Arts, Neighborhood Service (Tavern or otherwise), or the Porch over on Knox/Henderson. It kind of depends on how many people we get.

I can get down with Glorias OC as well. There are other locations as well - one not too far from Mockingbird Station. The Oak Cliff one is also accessible by bus.

Gloria's sounds like the place to go. We can hit the one on Greenville, right be Mockingbird Station.
Is any day of the week better than others? I was thinking a Thursday or Monday evening, but that's partially selfish to my schedule.

It didn't happen - my October crashed and burned.
I will, however, throw something together in the near future - perhaps early December. Even if it's just a few people because of crazy schedules, I think getting together for margaritas and social times wouldn't be a bad deal.
