Hey y'all - let's have a virtual meetup!
The theme is "Quarantine Hobbies" - let's share our tales of dead sourdough starter, failed crops, ugly sweaters, bad television!
My preference is to do this on a weekend closer to the evening. I don't have one of those fancy upgraded Zoom accounts that lets you go more than 40 minutes, so please share if you do. How does April 18th at 4:00 PM (Eastern) sound?
Sounds fun! I'm in. If someone would be so kind as to ping me when we have a confirmed date via MeMail or (even better, Twitter @davidprovost) I would greatly appreciate it. Between needing to limit my internet intake for sanity purposes and Animal Crossing, I'm not on MeFi too much these days. Thanks for proposing this, oceanjesse.

Since this will be an online meetup should it be opened to people outside of the Triangle area?

Either date works for me. But be warned, there may be a full demo of the diy yoga bolster I started tonight.

I'm in .. i don't know you guys and am .. well not tooo far from durham but not exactly near... but would be fun to meet you.. was hoping something virtual like this would emerge under "irl"!
I'm hoping this is not the same time as my my bookgroup tomorrow which I have to check on..
have a zoom account i could perhaps lend to the cause. ..

hmm, someone from the durham IRL meetup who suggested it asked me to post in the thread.. i can memail folks, though.. I figured I could just leave it up for an hour or so and then delete it.
Oy, perhaps it has already been scraped!!! hopefully not though..
