Possible Central Jersey Meetup?

I'm pretty introverted and strangers make me nervous, so I always think about going to meet ups and then back out. Mostly because on top of all that, it seems I have to travel into New York which can get expensive and traveling there by myself freaks me out.
So maybe if I changed one of the two issues I'd have better luck is what I'm thinking. Meet up with less scary travel.
Anyone interested in a Central Jersey meet up? I was thinking maybe somewhere in Red Bank so it's also on the train line. There's several places to eat there that are decent. A Friday night or a weekend? I can't do week days because I have a kid.
What do you think?

We had talked before about doing an Indian food meetup in Edison rather than Jersey City, though that's still northish.
Red Bank has a lot of good restaurants and walking around. Early February is rough for me, but my weekends even out after that.

I could maybe do a weekend in February (though I'm probably going to be away over the weekend of the 18th).

Friday night the 10th or Saturday night the 11th are doable for me. The weekends before and after I have my son, and the last weekend I'll be helping a friend move by driving from Jersey to Texas.
Maybe March then? March 10th and 11th I'm good. Anyone else?

There's the Buona Sera Ristorante & Bar which is pricy, dressy. JBJ's Soul Kitchen supports a good cause and good atmosphere. Dublin House Pub & Restaurant is middle price on food but expensive on drinks. Walt Street Pub not expensive, across from the train station, and a very tshirt and jeans kinda palce.

It sounds like March 10 or 11 might be good for people? The more casual places you named all sound great to me.

Also, just for ya-yas ... as of March 1st the roller skating rink in South Amboy is re-opened. Maybe not this meet up, but it would be an interesting outing - Metafilter on Wheels!

Okay, if we all think Friday night, March 10th at the Dublin House? Then I'll move this from proposed to happening.

Weeknights are a no-go for me, I'm too far north of Red Bank to make the drive there feasible after a full day's work.
