London meetup

Metafiltrians of London, I will be in the capital on the evening of the 21st: does anyone fancy a wee meetup? I haven't yet sorted out accommodation and so forth, but I expect I'll be somewhere in the approximate vicinity of Imperial College. If people are up for it and know a good place to go nearby, please suggest it; I barely know London at all, so I'm relying on youse for ideas. I wasn't thinking of anything big, probably just drinks and maybe a meal. Hopefully see you in a week or so's time!

Evening of the 21st works for me. No idea where though, don't really know South Ken too well.

I can't make it, but please do go to The Queens Arms, Queens Gate Mews, just off Queens Gate, which runs right along the west side of Imperial College's campus. It's a great little pub with food, and all sorts of fun things happen there. When I was a regular there back in the early to mid 90's the students called it "99" - for lecture room 99. I guess they must have had 98 rooms on campus......

There we go! I've taken Nick Verstayne's suggestion and plumped for the Queens Arms as a meetup spot. I've put 6:30 as a tentative time, but feel free to come by whenever. Apologies for so late a firming up of plans, but up until this morning I didnae really know when I'd be getting in. See youse there.

I appear to be totally meeting'd up at work this afternoon, but I will also aim for 6.30. For purpose of recognition, there's a big number 9 on my shirt.
