Greenpoint (Weekly Brooklyn) Meetup

I moved up to Greenpoint a few weeks ago, and was really eager to explore my new neighborhood, preferably in the company of a few MeFites. So, I decided to hold a meetup there. NOTE: this will also be the weekly Brooklyn meetup this week.
Beloved was suggested by hermitosis as a possible venue, and after looking at photos of the decor and eyeing their cheap cocktails list, I just had to go. It's a new-ish place, and I hear the vibe's good. It's nearest to the Nassau Ave. G. The bar doesn't have food, but there are various places around there that do.

I might try to make this a semi-regular thing if there's enough interest, and we can adjust days/times if needed. I really hope to see/meet some of you all there-- it's going to be exciting!

There's a new bar on Manhattan Avenue called Beloved that has spacious indoor and outdoor areas. Since it's new, it probably needs all the business it can get.

I'm hosting an event at WORD bookstore on 10/3 (self-link, as if you didn't know me by now) so I can't do that, nor can I do Fridays. But otherwise I'd love to come and visit.

Beloved looks nice and I haven't been there yet either. I might be interested. Thursday nights are out for me. Could we not host that week's general meeting in Greenpoint?

Something just came up for me for next Tuesday, and I also forgot to add in the post that I have a commitment the Monday after next (10/1).

And Beloved has awesome decor! Cheap cocktails, too.

So, unless anyone has any dire objections, I'll confirm/update this later tonight for 10/4 (a Thursday) at Beloved at 7:30. greta simone, sorry if you won't be able to make it-- hopefully we'll have more of these and you can make it to those!

I'll be there. A bit later than 7.30 though. I haven't been to a meetup in a very long time... you won't be moving too quickly from the original spot, will you?

Dash it all, this is just not gonna work out. I have a conference call at 8 and a friend's band is playing at 9. :(
