Uris Hall, Ithaca, NY, USA (Map & Directions)
I'm going to the Cornell Astronomy Department's Mars Science Lab Landing event. It's super late, but you should come anyway. There'll be talks, thrills, planetary scientists, and NASA TV.
Uris Auditorium (Uris Hall G0-1), Cornell campus, Sunday, August 5, 2012, 11:45 pm to 3 am. Free and open to the public.

I'm out of town 'til the 9th. Too bad, because this sounds neat.

I'll be there if my wife and I are feeling awake enough. The "7 minutes of terror" landing will be around 1:30am, so we probably won't arrive at 11:45.

Indeed! Lots of people. We need some kind of secret way to identify MeFites in a crowd.
