Fun in London

I'd definitely be up for something during the day – lunch? picnic? pub? – but I already have plans for the evening, so I'd have to pass on the Roller Derby (hilarious though that sounds).

Ah, dammit. I'll be in London that weekend but have a friend staying with me and we have so many things planned, so I'll have to pass. So sorry to miss you, iamkimiam, but there'll be next time.

I'll be in Iceland, I'm afraid.

Oh man, the Roller Derby sounds like ridiculous amounts of fun and I would be totally up for it.
Logistics: There are trains from Paddington to the station nearest the venue - Windsor and Eton Riverside. It takes about 50 mins. Last train back is from Windsor central at 11:30 (a transfer cab may be required for the ambulatorily-challenged). So - a bit of a faff but doable via public transport. Or, if it's not a boozy do I could drive - there's room in my micra for me + 3.
Otherwise up for general frolicks, aft or eve (but probably not both - must study at some point!).

A bit too far out in the other direction for me unfortunately, but will keep an eye on this and if you find yourselves somewhere more central for an afternoon or evening stiffner then I think I'm free that day.

I would love to come to the roller derby. Not so sure about a trip all the way into London, though.

Ack, I'm really sorry but I'm gonna have to cancel or reschedule this meetup...our roller derby team is having our very first bout up in Middlesbrough on the 8th. If people are still interested in a meetup soon, perhaps we can pick another weekend? I'm gonna go ahead and edit the post details.
Oh, and the cast is off, so I can meetup anywhere!

AW! I'm in Bath right now and will be staging myself at Gatwick on the 7th for my flight home on the morning of the 8th. Oh well, I'll just have to catch a Ohio meetup when I get home.

I've been eyeing this proposed meetup longingly since the beginning of the month, and would really love for something to come of it (this FPP has given me the kick up the arse to try and help facilitate).
Is anyone still interested? I live in North London, so my knowledge of cool stuff in the centre is pretty limited... Anyone have further thoughts about this?

I've missed my ability to actually *get* to London anymore, and what with the Olympics coming up, I don't think I want to. Anybody want to get *away* from London anytime soon? It's 40º in York right now.*

No one would want to meet up in or near Reading, by any chance? For once, 'It's not London' works out to our advantage.
