The second season of our film-based variety show Meet The Lady continues with an in-depth look at tales of women transforming into cats -- a theme which recurs surprisingly often in film and storytelling. More guest stars than you can twitch a tail at! Tickets and info here.
With guest appearances by:
• Broadway star Loni Ackerman , who took a feline form as Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical CATS
• Author Valerie Martin, who will discuss the cat/women in her 1994 novel The Great Divorce
• Film actress Frances Conroy, who most recognize as Ruth from "Six Feet Under," and who'll be calling in to reminisce about starring alongside Halle Berry in 2004's "Catwoman"
Plus film clips, conjecture, and Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab perfume samples. Reception to follow in the 92Y Tribeca cafe.
Just a warning: tickets usually sell out in advance! Please message me if you get stuck, or if you want to know how many seats are left.
92YTribeca is walking distance from the A,C,E,1,N,Q, and R trains. The cafe sells food, beer, and wine which you can bring into the screening room. -- and we always party for a while afterward. Let's hang out!

Hope you guys can make it, it will be the LAST Meet The Lady show until at least July, since I'll be traveling for most of May and June.
It also may be our last event in the Y's screening room for some time -- there's talk of bumping us up to the mainstage area! Bigger shows, plus a full bar at the back of the room. So, keep your fingers crossed for us. (And by all means, please come out on Friday!)

In honor of tomorrow night's event, I have assumed the identity of the supervillain Cheetah (Wonder Woman's arch-nemesis) and will be pestering the shit out of everyone via Twitter until I run out of energy.
(Cheetah is historically female, though briefly in 2001 there was a male Cheetah. I'm trying to revive that tradition!)
