Sonascope—telling tales in Indianapolis

I’ll be performing a piece for spoken word and electronics on Sunday, 6 August 2017 at 2:30 PM as part of the 13th Annual Electro-Music Festival running from Friday, 4 August to Sunday, 6 August, 2017 at the Irving Theater in Indianapolis, Indiana [directions]. The entire weekend is a long-form celebration of electronic, electro-acoustic, and experimental music that runs the alphabetic gamut from the abrasively new to the zestfully soothing, with a three-day bill jam-packed with amazing musicians I’ve had the pleasure to work with and otherwise revel in for several years now. I’m bringing my combination of left-field storytelling and digital atmospherics to the party, and I get to spend the rest of the time enjoying and educating myself in how it’s done. It's a real bargain for anyone interested in music on/off the beaten path.

Liars' League - Us and Them

Liars' League is a themed monthly fiction night, where professional actors read new short stories by writers from around the world. The stories this month feature baby rats, traumatised soldiers, uppity moths, self-consuming metafiction, 80s action figures, and a very sinister housing committee. No narrator is too unusual, no story too strange for our Us & Them event, as we hand over the mike to collective voices, extraordinary viewpoints and life-or-death clashes and connections. Sonascope—telling tales in St. Louis

I've revived and updated my award-winning one-man show, My Fairy Godmothers Smoke Too Much, a collection of stories about my mostly calamitous adult pursuit of a fairy godmother, and will be performing at the Kranzberg Arts Center on October 10. I explore my possible alien origins, the lopsided insights I've gotten from volunteer work in a porno store, my flirtation with suspected magical beings in the gutter, learning to dance through voyeurism, and other unsettling adventures on my way into haphazard adulthood. Take Ten at The Cumberland Arms

Take Ten is a monthly music and spoken-word night at The Cumberland Arms in Newcastle. I've been booked for a rare transatlantic appearance, and I'd love to say hello to some local MeFites. Have a pint of real ale or cider on me! Admission is £4.
