This is a casual gathering at Southpaw to mark what would have been rtha's 53rd birthday. Come have some food or a drink and hang out and tell stories about rtha or just hang out. I'll be asking for donations in her memory for the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory and the San Francisco Dyke March, two of her favorite organizations. [more inside]

rtha's memorial service will be held on Sunday January 20th, in the San Francisco Women's Building Auditorium, from 4-6 pm. After we will adjourn to Southpaw bar around the corner. Mefites are very welcome to attend -- I'd love to see you there. [more inside]

Aaron Mintz (Lemurrhea) died suddenly this week. (Please see this MetaTalk thread.) We're getting together at one of his favourite venues, the Jason George, to remember him and toast him and miss him so damn much. Please come by if you can.

Guys, I know he was justifiably banned from Metafilter, but wfrgms was my friend and he has died. I'm going to Delilah's, where he and I used to drink before the Goat Ups were the Goat Ups, on Tuesday, after work. I hope someone can join me. [more inside]
