The Last Gay Bar On The UWS Is Going
The Candle Bar, the oldest gay bar in NYC and the last gay bar on the UWS is closing just as Pride Weekend is starting. They're having everything must go drink specials. Why not join me on Friday June 19th at 7:30 in saying goodbye to another bit of local color. I will sit on the jukebox all night and keep it from getting stupid.
Pridefest at the Summerfest grounds
UPDATE: My refrigerator broke and I'm having a new one installed today, but I'm not sure when it will be, thus I don't know if/when I'll be there.
Pridefest is this weekend! $13 for one-day admission. There's a variety of food and drink. Here's the full entertainment lineup (including Ani Di Franco and En Vogue). Straight people are welcome (and very common).
Saturday looks like the best day, weather-wise, so I'm probably going to be there from 3 pm until I'm too exhausted or drunk to dance anymore. If you can't commit to a time, but you might go and want to meet up, memail me for my phone number and you can text me.

Kinsey Sicks at Mayne Stage Chicago Aug 1
I know it's coming on the heels of the month of meetups, but is anyone besides me interested in seeing the Kinsey Sicks on Friday Aug 1st? Floor tickets are $35, balcony $25. I'd like to get floor tickets. They have food & booze. There's a 7pm and 9pm show, I was hoping to go for the 7. [more inside]
NYC Queermos/LGBT Types: Wanna Hang Out?
Reading through some old AskMe posts, I saw that a lot of people had responded to various questions about being gay/lesbian/bi/etc in NYC with offers to meet up and hang out. And I thought, well, I could stalker-ily message those people, or I could just post an event and see if anyone is into it. [more inside]
