MeFi IRL

HI friends! I'm teaching an Intro to Poker Class at the very adorable skill share place QED in Astoria next week. The class is $20 which gets you 1 unforgettable hour of extremely useful and fun instruction on both how to play better poker (with a side order of basic statistics) and how to not look like a rube while playing, plus an entry into a free tournament to commence right after the class, at which you could win a fabulous prize (probably a poker book, I don't actually know). Last month jetlagaddict had the great idea to post an IRL for the block printing class at the Craft and Folk Art Museum. I had so much fun I've signed up for the Papermaking Workshop with Mark Montano and meant to post it here earlier. [more inside]

Given MeFi's fondness for Tufte's work, I wonder if anyone else is going to one of his one day courses next week. I'm going on Tuesday.
