Join us Saturday morning for a little baking and some casual chat.
This week I made raisin bread and Nanaimo bars.

My bake this week was apple sour cream cardamom muffins with candied apple pie spiced cashews. They are even better today than yesterday. Good thing I have coworkers who love my baking. I'd be as big as a house again if I didn't have people to bake for.

We made pumpkin pie but the crust wasn't flaky at all. The butter was chill at every step in the process. Is it because we used chickpea flour?

Not sure aniola. The recipes I looked at say you can get a flaky pie crust with chickpea flour. From what I know of pie crust making, the hardest part is keeping everything cold enough.

My bakes for today were chocolate cinnamon raisin Christmas bread and a Tex Mex inspired version of my savory zucchini muffins. The muffins are very tasty and the bread looks good. I can't wait to try it.
