Sat August 9 at 7:00 PM, Saint Arnold Brewery
2000 Lyons Avenue, Houston, TX, USA (Map & Directions)
My a cappella group, Lager Rhythms, is having our 20th anniversary "Brew-ha-ha" concert at Saint Arnold Brewery on Saturday, August 9th from 7-10pm. We have a couple of MeFites attending already, and I would love to finally meet some more of the Houston/Austin folks. The group is 8 voices, but we have many former members coming back to help celebrate and sing with us. It's going to be a blast!
Lager Rhythms is an 8 voice "eclectic a cappella" band, covering a wide range of music genres, although we tend to gravitate toward the strange and nerdy (think Jonathan Coulton or Weird Al Yankovic).

Registration is requested but not required. Tickets are $35. Registration gets you entry, food/drink, and a commemorative pint glass. Door price is also $35, and includes food/drink, but at that point the pint glasses become "while supplies last."

Take a look at the website and you'll get an idea of the kind of music we sing. I would love to have a MeFite contingent there for moral support!

That sounds like a combination of geeky and boozy after my own black heart. I've got some schedule-clearing to do, but FSM willing Mrs. Sourcequench and I will see you there.
