Let's meet at the Vaillancourt Fountain at 10:00 and join the rally at Justin Herman Plaza. Rally runs from 10 - 11:30, so we can walk or BART someplace for lunch afterwards if anybody wants. There are 3 events going on Saturday afternoon around the capitol: Noon - Farmer Labor Tractorcade around the Capitol Square, 2 pm - Arts Workers March Together (from the Overture Center for the Arts), 3 pm - AFL-CIO rally at the Capitol. So let's meet up before all that to get warm, get caffeinated and get ready. I'm flexible on location, I picked Michelangelo's because it's close and I was there last weekend.

As detailed in this recent post on the blue, Houston, TX's only independent, free-form radio station is in grave danger of having its transmitter, FCC license and FM frequency sold out from under it. There has been a huge outpouring of student, alumni and community resistance, and there will be a protest on the campus of Rice tomorrow. [more inside]
