Metafilter's own ilana won the 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival 24-Hour Playwriting Contest!!! There's a professionally-staged reading of her winning play "Let's Talk" being held at Theatre Passe Muraille on Friday, July 12 at 8:45 in the Mainspace.

I'm on a roundabout drive from NYC to Minneapolis and will be stopping in Toronto from Friday 12th October til Sunday the 14th. I've never been to Toronto and have never been to a MetaFi meetup, so this could be a big weekend for me. Folly Brewpub Trivia
Since a few people expressed interest who couldn't make it last time, trivia is on again this Tuesday at Folly Brewpub. Trivia starts at 7pm, but I'm generally there from 6:30. Last time we had a resounding win, so we need to try to retain our crown. Very low stakes, only a round of beer, but always fun.

I was wondering if anyone woukd like to join us for the next trivia night on 11th September so we can have a few more team members, or possibly another team. A whopping eight months after setting foot in Toronto to examine people's financial statements and tell them how they're doin' it wrong, I went and landed myself a job in the US doing stuff that's much more up my alley. Pending approval by our friendly neighbourhood border service agents, I will be leaving Toronto for the brighter pastures of North Carolina in about eight weeks.
