It is with great excitement that I propose a Wellington Meet up for Metafilter, to be attended by mathowie, in town for Webstock this year.
The proposed dates are either Monday February 13 or Tuesday February 14 – Sunday February 13 could also work, although i_am_joe's_spleen will be back from KiwiFoo that day and it would be a struggle.

The venue is Hashigo Zake .

I’ll fire this around a few local Mefites and it would be good to see you all and get together with Matt and Jessamyn, while they are in town.

Let’s agree the date – my starter is the Monday 13th – so as to not encroach with our loved ones on Valentines Day.

Absolutely in, and keen to go to Hashi. Wonder how much of a dent we can make in their stock.

I'm attending Erin Kissane's workshop, so my preference is Tuesday, but I can probably survive it post-meetup if we do Monday.

Good for Monday. Was there last night, it's like a delightful temple of worship for beer-nerds.

The barman told me Hashiko Zage means 'Liquor Ladder' - it's the Japanese idiom for 'a night on the town'. THE MORE YOU KNOW.

That was great fun. Sam, thanks for organizing it and everyone for attending, it was fun to put faces on the names I've read for so many years. Thanks again for the gifts, those really mean a lot to me after learning all about them at the museum, I'll cherish them and remember the trip every time I look at them.

holloway, after so many years of our history together, it was especially great to finally meet you.
