Wed November 3 at 7:00 PM, Cattelmen's Steakhouse
1309 S Agnew Ave, Oklahoma City, OK, USA (Map & Directions)
I'll be in Oklahoma City 1-5 November. Anyone in the area interested in meeting up for dinner or drinks?
Looks like I have a work function on the 2nd and I depart on the 5th, so Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday would be the best days for me.
I'm staying in Bricktown, working at the air base. I'm not sure what constitutes "regional cuisine" for the area, actually - I'm guessing steak of all varieties?

Pretty much steak and burgers, yeah. We're on the outskirts of barbecue and Tex-Mex country - there are a few decent places for each around, if you don't get down South much.
Some downtown-ish places off the top of my head:
Cattleman's Steakhouse - 100-year-old place in the Stockyards District that's the go-to OKC place for an authentic steak
Iron Starr Urban BBQ - Slightly upscale barbecue
Leo's - Smoky hole-in-the-wall barbecue
Irma's Burger Shack - informal burgers & beer
And there's a couple of Mexican places around, and even some good Indian and Vietnamese if you're not wedded to the regional cuisine concept. I seem to remember a good barbecue place out in Midwest City near the airbase, but I don't get out that way much, and it's not going to be real centrally located if we get other people coming.

The steakhouse sounds appealing. Should we shoot for Wednesday?

What part of the city are you staying in? Any regional cuisine you were wanting to try while you're here? (As long as you don't say chicken-fried steak. Nasty-ass insult to good beef. You want that stuff, man, you're on your own.)
