I'm seeing the closing night performance of "The 7th Voyage of Egon Tichy [redux]" - a theatrical adaptation of work by Stanislaw Lem - because a friend who knows a lot about scifi and about theater praised it highly. Consider coming too! Maybe we can wave hi and chat about it afterward. Shows are selling out so you should probably grab tickets soon if you're going to come.

Hi. I'd like to invite all New-york-based Mefites to see my play, "The Weir," by Conor McPherson. Oct 14th through Nov 6th. I directed it and Mefite Evangeline is acting in it. It's a great Halloween play, full of spooky stories. And it won the Olivier Award in 1999. Tickets are usually $18, but a lot of you helped me on AskMetafilter, so I'm making tickets available to Metafilter members for $15. [more inside]

I designed the lighting for this show at LA's Boston Court theatre and now it's transferring to the NYC Fringe Festival. Come for the superb writing and performances, stay for the taters.
