Reveling in your passion is one thing, but when does it become an unhealthy obsession? Painting with Words and Fire explores the lives of three women: Penny a pyromaniac, who has a penchant for burning brothels; Jane, searching for one more poem from her boyfriend; and Sophia, trapped inside Lady Macbeth. They all find themselves at a crossroads.
I developed this show with the three female actors who star in it. It's three female monologues plus a fourth piece devised between writer and actors, tying the three characters and the themes of the show together. I'm very proud of the show we've put together, which will be on at Revolt Productions - an amazing performance space in Kensington - from February 15 to February 25, every night at 8pm (except Monday 20).
