What say we have a bookswap-type meet-up? Bring a few good books you're willing to part with, and maybe take some new ones home. Like a clothing swap, but with fewer reasons to undress and, hopefully, no embarrassing stains to explain. [more inside]

Inspired by this fpp about how much crap we Angelenos have in our homes, I was thinking why not shift some of those piles around? Whatever doesn't go home with someone we donate to Out of the Closet. Is anyone interested?

Hey Los Angeles, wanna do a home made ice cream swap? I am inspired by/totally jealous of the Brooklyn one. I've been making my fair share of ice cream-like things (mostly gelatos and sorbets), perhaps you have as well? Or want a reason to give it a try? Location: Barnsdall Park Ice cream+lovely views of the city! Bring: two pints of frozen deliciousness to swap and at least 1 pint extra to share in the park If you want to come and don't plan on making ice cream then bring something to go with with ice cream. I will bring a picnic blanket, spoons, napkins and cups. [more inside]
