Who Are You Supposed To Be? A Doctor Who-themed play

After a popular season at the Edinburgh Fringe, my play about fans and fandom is premiering in London for three nights only in November: Nov 10, Nov 15, Nov 17. Tickets on sale at the Etcetera Theatre website.

Inspired by the "fake geek girl" meme and the ongoing discussion of whether there should be a female Doctor, WHO ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE is about the imperfect world we geeks have made for each other. [more inside]

"Second Samuel" in the Atlanta area

I am appearing in this play this weekend and next. It's really a wonderful, entertaining, moving, and thought-provoking show. If you come, please say "Hey" to Mansel after the show -- I've never met a MeFi-er in real life. [more inside]

At each performance, the audience chooses which actor plays which part. Tickets are normally $18. We're making $15 tickets available to metafilter members. Noel Coward play + possible socializing before or after

A pal of mine is in the Silver Spring Stage production of Noel Coward's Private Lives and nearly guarantees a good time to any attendee. Cutting British wit, that sort of thing. It's at 8. Wanna grab beverages/food before &/or after? Update: My pal says, "For pregaming, there's a Mexican place also across the street that is ideal - Fajita Coast." So I hereby propose that we meet there at 7pm. I shall be there with a book in any case. [more inside]

HICST wrote a play!

So, I wrote a play called "How My Mother Died of Cancer, and Other Bedtime Stories" that is being performed as part of The New York International Fringe Festival. It's a comedy with decidedly upsetting elements. I'd love for some of you to come see it. [more inside]
