Hi! I just moved to Los Feliz from Brooklyn, and would love to meet some neighbors! Anybody up for a low-key masked walk or hike near Griffith Park?
This Friday evening is the St. Johns Art Walk, an event in North Portland where local artists team up with local store owners to show off art in various storefronts in downtown St. Johns. I'll be participating, showing off some of my geometric painting work at Tinker-Maker Toys. [more inside]
Memorial Day weekend! Nice weather! A dog! I will be heading to Middlesex fells in the late morning Saturday to take my dog-sitting ward out for a 3-4 mile stroll. All two legged friends are welcome. [more inside]
Would anyone like to take a walk in a Pokmon-rich environment? Lincoln Park has water and beach and consistently has interesting water, fire, and psychic types. Let's meet at the log benches about halfway down the north parking lot (can walk from the C line bus stop at Rose St. into the park and a tad north on the trail next to the parking lot). Heya cobbers. We were considering doing a Pokemon meetup and catching of monsters. Lollusc is late to the party and banished to Canberra for a few days so we must soothe her pain upon return. And for the love of dogonthemoon, someone has to help me take down msfish. ( blue team is bad, m'kay.) Open to date , time and venue suggestions although Usyd isn't bad and may be centrally accessible. Can be day with kiddoes or night with boozoes. (Fridays are out as it's often Chaiday Night at my place. To which MeFites have a standing invitation. ) We can all set lures in close proximity and enjoy the sprinkle of soft falling pink bits.. This is a walking tour of San Francisco's waterfront labor history, with talks by labor historians along the way. Starts at noon at 240 2nd Street, in front of the Marine Firemen’s hall near Howard. It's a part of LaborFest 2014. [more inside]
How about a pretty short, slow, sweet little bike ride on the Minuteman trail (or, a walk option instead)? And some lunch? OK, last chance, you 'Maybes!' If no one but cocoagirl and me are there at 10:30, and no one has switched to 'Attending,' then she and I may head elsewhere instead of to Spy Pond. But if anyone does switch to 'Attending,' then we'll see you at Spy Pond as planned. So, if you'll be there, switch over your response! [more inside]
Brooklyn Bridge Walk 2014 - starting on the Manhattan side (meeting point should be the plaza area by the subway entrance near the pedestrian access entryway) we will walk across to check out the food at Smorgasburg and wander around and/or collapse in Brooklyn Bridge Park, on June 15th.
I have never walked over the Brooklyn Bridge and would really like to sometime this summer. Anybody interested? [more inside]
Last year we walked the length of Broadway in Manhattan. Let's do it again, this time slightly more slowly and possibly with a picnic in Central Park. We will meet on the northeast side of the Broadway Bridge at 225th St at 9am on stop for a picnic lunch in Central Park (location to be determined), and finish at The Battery. [more inside]
Last fall we walked the length of Broadway. It was an intrepid little band of Mefites. Let's do it again! On June 2nd, we will meet on the north east side of the Broadway Bridge (225th and Broadway) and walk to the Battery. [more inside]
