At last Sunday's dinner there was some interest in going for Ethiopian food and Sunday, July 6th seems to be a good date. I can't make this official without a venue, so here are links to the restaurants that have been mentioned:

Hi, folks - I'm in Chicago for some business and was wondering if anybody would like to do an evening meetup? I've never been to a meetup before and since I'm coming into a bigger city I thought maybe...? I'll be staying in the Near North Side area, not far from MCA Chicago.

Hi everyone, I'm in Beijing for work this week. Have been a few times before so know my way around a wee bit, but normally I come with a colleague and this time I'm on my own. It would be fun to have people to hang out with. I'm working during the daytimes and am free in the evenings from today (jet-lag allowing) through to Saturday night, minus a work dinner at some point. The Watts Towers structure consists of seventeen major sculptures of steel, covered with mortar and embellished by decorative finishings of mosaic tiles, glass, clay, shells, and rock. This folk art employs assemblage construction. There are three tall spires, several small towers, two walls, gazebo, patio, ship, and other structures. In addition to the towers, the The Watts Towers Arts Center is the home of International Ethnic Instrument Collection consisting of 144 primarily non-western instruments collected from around the world.
