I'm not new to Cleveland, but I'd like to meet some NEO mefites. It looks like there was a meetup almost 2 years ago, can we do it again? Anyone interested? What to do and where to do it currently are up in the air. I live in the city but love an opportunity to go new places, too!

Looks like I get to go to Origins Game Fair (June 11-15, Columbus, Ohio) this year and was wondering whether anyone else was either going or lived in central Ohio and wanted to hang out in between game geekery.

So, he hasn't made a big deal out of it, but MeFi's own flapjax at midnite is currently meandering around the U.S. playing some shows. Tour schedule if you want to see where else he's been or will be. This Friday 11/8 he'll be at The Royal Oaks in Youngstown. The club's Facebook page. Nothing about the gig on there, but flapjax has confirmed it's happening. He'll start about 8 pm. [more inside]

Do the Columbus MeFites get together? I'll be visiting and would love to have a beer or a cocktail with some MeFites on Thursday -15th, Sunday -18th or Monday -19th evening. Barleys Smokehouse, Bodega and Andersons General Store have been recommended; I'm open to better ideas.

CBUS and other Ohio residents: as of early June, I'll have left for a year in the rain forest where I will likely be without internet access. It'd be fun to see you all again before I disappear! Want to grab food some weeknight in May? I was going to suggest Blue Nile, but that has apparently closed. We could try for another North Market late afternoon, or maybe the Jury Room? Or something else entirely? (I see, for example, that Dirty Frank's has the best karaoke in Columbus...)

I will be in Clevlend for the EMP conference at the end of April. (29 to 31). I would like to hang.
