Writing Discussion with John Scalzi & Mary Robinette Kowal at the Jean Cocteau Cinema -- authors and friends John Scalzi (MetaFilter's Own jscalzi) and Mary Robinette Kowal have a discussion on the writing process, followed by a Q & A and book signing! Scalzi, known for his science fiction writing and the bestselling “Old Man’s War” series, and Kowal, a puppeteer and Hugo award-winning novelist, both create fictional classics that incorporate fantasy. Split Lip Rayfield is playing at Santa Fe Brewing Co on July 6. I'd like to come up, but even if I can't, it should be a good show.
