Sun November 6 at 8:00 PM, Capitol Hotel Bar
111 W Markham St, Little Rock, AR, USA (Map & Directions)
I'm visiting my grandparents in Little Rock and suggested a meetup to middleclasstool. Sorry for the weird day, but I'm only there Sunday and Monday nights. He suggested the Capitol Hotel due to its location and atmosphere. Not sure who else is in LR, but I've heard you've never had a meetup? Time to change that!

Sounds good to me! although the Capitol might be a little... stuffy?

Well, I don't know the area at all anymore (last time I was there was over 20 years ago), so whatever you all decide is fine with me - that was middleclasstool's suggestion.

Nah, the bar's not dressy. It's a nice place, but you don't need to put on a tie or anything. I chose it mainly because dejardins needs a place without loud music and also they have food.

I'm in a long-sleeved reddish shirt and dark jeans. I will be the shortest person in the bar.

I cannot wait to hang out with some normal people. I somehow escaped the Southern Baptist church this morning, but I got a lecture on Jesus anyway.

Aside: do you know what the parking situation is? We drove by and there was a large lot with a gate, but I was unclear if it was for overnight guests only.

I probably won't be able to make it, but I send my regrets.

I've seen your pic, I should be able to spot you. I'll be in a purple-y plaid shirt and dark jeans, freshly balded head.

So sorry this was your re-introduction to Southern Cultureā„¢. My only attempts to save your soul will involve alcohol and fried black-eyed peas. And talking about that guy. You know the one.

As to parking, your choices are to either pay for valet with the hotel or park on the street. You should be able to find a meter nearby on a Sunday night, unless walking is a problem. If it is, downtown in general's going to be a problem for you and we'll have to come up with a new plan (which I'm happy to do). Don't bother feeding the meter.

box, hope you can at least drop by for a quick one. I'll buy your first, if that is any sort of inducement. I owe you that much for introducing me to the bagel place in Maumelle.

Valet is fine, downtown is fine. The good thing about old people is they take lots of naps. Finally got some quiet.

chota and box, I can't believe you made me endure two hours with middleclasstool all by myself. It was TERRIFYING.

not really

desjardins, THE NEXT TIME WE WILL STICK WITH THE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS UNTIL YOU GET IT RIGHT.

Seriously, I had a great time.

Next time I'll have to try that cough syrup you were drinking.
