Sat August 14 at 7:30 PM, Players Theatre
115 MacDougal St, New York, NY, USA (Map & Directions)
I designed the lighting for this show at LA's Boston Court theatre and now it's transferring to the NYC Fringe Festival. Come for the superb writing and performances, stay for the taters. Performances on Aug. 14, 16, 18, 21, and 24th at the Players' Theatre in NYC. Check the website for a list of show times and buy tickets here.
1914. Two actors are hired to entrap homosexuals for "social vagrancy" in public restrooms.

By Tom Jacobson
Directed by Michael Michetti
Starring Will Bradley and Robert Mammana

(And for those not in on the whole taters thing... this play contains sexual situations and nudity.)

“It is one of the most intelligent and sobering plays in the short history of gay theater.” –Stage and Cinema

...Huh.

Completely independent of Metafilter whatsoever, I signed up to review this very show for nytheatre.com.

....Uh, you'll have at least one MeFite there, I guess then.

(putting myself down as "Maybe," because...I'll be there, just under a different passport.)

I'm doing the soju thing on the 14th, but maybe I could do the 21st or 24th. Thin Lizzy, will you be making new posts for the different dates like Help, I can't stop talking! did, or should I put my maybe here?

Hi oh yeah! I just (somewhat reluctantly) made dates for the other performances if you'd like to put yourself down as a maybe.

I was there. My review will go up in a few days (I'll link to it if you want, when it comes up). I recommend it to others.

That sounds great, Empress. I'd love for you to post the link (if you're comfortable with linking to your off-Metafilter life). Glad to hear that you're recommending it!
