The George & Dragon is open again, and apparently is having trivia on the date of this event.
Folks... There are 6 days 'til Tuesday, they serve a full plate of onion rings, some pretty damn good beer, it's trivia night and we're vaccinated.

Hey hey! I am so happy to see this! I am fully immune, but this Tuesday is iffy due to some kid related in-person stuff opening back up. If it's on, I will do my level best but could well be late.
On another note, it's been a long time, maybe this could be a check in thread? Are we all good? Needless to say, COVID has been a very hard time for a family with 2 front line health care workers and 2 home schooled kids, but the immediate family is healthy.
We've lost three relatives in India in the last few weeks, and my heart breaks for the true disaster that is ongoing there.
Many hugs, tears, fuck everythings, and whatever else I can offer.

Checking in sounds great.
Helen, Matt and I are well, glad as hell we moved when we did so that we have had enough space to rattle a bit, instead of being crammed in. So far no health problems for anyone, just a few scares with my son's mother needing last minute testing. Waiting for the border to Canada to open up again so I can see my family up there.

I drove by the G&D a few days ago, checked their website, saw that trivia night had restarted, and was considering putting a post on IRL, but you beat me to it (I didn't get a notification about it as I have in the past; has that been turned off during the pandemic?). I and the family have holding up reasonably well over the last year, and we're all fully vaccinated.

Last Tuesday I got the Johnson & Johnson one-shot so am not quite eligible for public activity yet. But NEXT TIME!

Sounds like we have a quorum. For those new to it, they have historically charged... $2? $1? per team member. Teams cap out at 6, so if we have more than that we shall have to schism. It has happened before.

And they are doing trivia now on Thursdays (despite their website listing Tuesdays). So, we just talked, drank beer, and I picked at the onion rings which not only weren't as good as they used to be, they served them with mayo and not BBQ sauce.
