As I mentioned before, I've got a typical M-F day-job so any evening and any weekend day after noon is fine with me.

Also, re: locations, anywhere I can get to by bus/Max is fine, though Beaverton, Hillsboro, or Gresham would be a depressingly long ride.

I would never suggest Hillsboro or Gresham. Beaverton might be a consideration, if there were a place in Beaverton that would suit us, but there is not. At least not that I have found.

I can only do late (9, 9:30) week nights. Anything with in a block or two of a blueline stop would be great. Saturdays, I can be in town by 5. I know there was discussion about keeping weekend evening open, but I don't know if people's evenings start at 6 or more like 8.

Green Dragon near SE Belmont and 8th? That's pretty close-in, and I think it would be suitable.

I should say we had the first board game night at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House and it worked quite well. We chose that location over the Green Dragon because of noise, table size, and beer quality.

There's nothing wrong with Cascade Brewing.
It did work well.

Ehhh, I dunno, I was a bit repulsed by the exact shade of tan the walls were painted....

No, seriously, Cascade's fine. It's somewhat echo-y, but nowhere near as noisy as Green Dragon. And the lighting's good. Don't know how crowded it is on Saturday nights but maybe if we get there before the rush and claim our space....

Hey, y'all, I'll be in Portland in April and I'm so excited to set up a meetup! I just don't know the exact dates yet. Sometime between April 15 and 30. I'm guessing it will be the weekend of the 23rd!

(This has nothing to do with a game night, but I figure Portland people will see this!)

OMG so excited.

Does anyone know anything about The Hop and Vine? It's close to the Yellow line and looks like it could be promising.

Judging a book by its cover, I'll proclaim that it looks ok based solely on the website fiercekitten linked to.

Okay, so do we want to try a Saturday evening and see how it goes? Say starting at 5.00?

April 2nd, 9th, or 16th? There's a meetup on the 22nd, so let's not consider the 23rd. (Stew, it looks like you won't make a game night, but I'll see you at the meetup!)

Hop and Vine or Cascade Brewing?

Personally, I prefer the 2nd at Cascade.

You're in charge here, make it so.

Okay then! I'm in charge! Let's do it!

By the way, I started a 1000 Blank White Cards deck and played with friends last night. It was really fun and I can't wait to play again.

O hey, Specklet, I haven't played 1000 Blank White Cards in forever and would definitely be up for that. The outoftowners who have been visiting are leaving tomorrow so I may actually finally be able to show up!

Sadly, I have house guests this weekend and won't be able to make it. Next time!

Maybe I can drop by for a round of Dominion or something quick.

Checking in a little early, things seem pretty packed.

Wikipedia entry for "1000 Blank White Cards": The game consists of whatever the players define it as by creating and playing cards. There are no initial rules, and while there may be conventions among certain groups of players, it is in the spirit of the game to spite and denounce these conventions, as well as to adhere to them religiously.

Holy crap - It's CalvinCards! Why have I not heard about this before?? Oh yes indeed, I'll be there with my party socks on...

We're inside at the side of the bar, drinking beer and watching for a table to open up.
