The recurrent Tuesday trivia night meetup in Seattle
I'll tone down on the hubris this time.
Teams of six, we will hold a spot for confirmed people.

What? Less hubris? But then how will we achieve our tragic fall that proves the game isn't rigged? :)

(I'll be there if I'm back. Space A makes it always iffy.)

I'm in. Unless I'm not. But I feel as though I'm in at this moment, so that's as certain as you can be.

Now that moment's passed and I'm not sure.

Yep, still in.

Plus, I have to come now that I discovered palmcorder_yajna's in the same book club as my wife.

I ran into the man of twists and turns on a hike this morning and he peer pressured me into doing trivia! Just kidding he very nicely asked if I was planning on coming. So I'm coming!

That's the most PNW thing EVER.

Most PNW thing EVER would be running into you on a hike and pressuring you to brew a coffee infused IPA before joining trivia.

That's the most PNW thing EVER

Possibly, though I do have several clarifying questions:

(1) Was the hike part of some kind of multi-day startup or yoga retreat, and were the participants drinking bulletproof coffee, hyperlocal IPA, and/or Soylent on the trail?

(2) On a scale of 1 to 10, how much of a role did mycology (culinary, psychotropic, and/or academic) play in this hike?

(3) Were Candlebox, Neal Stephenson, Sherman Alexie, and/or 3 or more French bulldogs present? And if 3 or more French bulldogs were present, how many were named Sasquatch, Orca, and/or Tree Squid? Also, were any Frenchies who may have been present (a) members if anarchist bicycle collectives, (b) regular Cross-Fit participants, or (c) chicken-owners?

(4) How many Indie RPGs were played on this hike, and how many minutes of anti-oppressive, feminist stand-up were performed? And what role, if any, did PowerPoint (or non-Microsoft PowerPoint substitutes) have in those activities?

(5) How many geoducks were (a) brought; (b) acquired en route, (c) eaten, and/or (d) humanely re-released into the wild?

(6) Did anyone present play or attempt to play one or more chipunes on a paizo-electric ukulele, or on any other conspicuously YouTube-able instrument?

(7) Was anyone involved wearing part or the whole of a Playa- or SakaCon-appropriate costume?

(8) What role, if any, did circus arts such as fire-spinning or aerialism have in this hike?

(9) How many times was Bernie Sanders mentioned, and of those, how many were in the context of a planned or past indie burlesque or marionette performance?

(10) What podcasts were produced during this hike, and how many subscribers do those podcasts presently have? What is the current status of the monetization plans for these podcasts?

(11) What birds, if any, were successfully watched, and how many new species were added to participants' life lists? And finally:

(12) Did the hike terminate at (a) An underound house punk show or (b) A real estate seminar? And if either (10)(a), (10)(b), or both were true,.was there weed at said event(s), and if so, in what indica/sativa proportion, and of what overall quality?

It is vitally important that we quantify and record these things. If we don't, at some future, critical moment, we will find ourselves completely unable to plot our region's progress toward Peak PNW-- and the results of that failure could easily prove disastrous for all of us.

Aw, I don't really have time, but haven't been for ages. On my way. Might not be very late.

Also, we lost. Probably because I showed up.
