Sat June 25 at 7:00 PM, F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre
603 Edmonston Dr, Rockville, MD, USA (Map & Directions)
The Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra performs music from video games, adapted for full symphony orchestra and chorus. For variety, we also feature small ensemble and a cappella pieces. The second concert of our Spring 2016 season is this Saturday, June 25th, at the F. Scott Performing Arts Center in Rockville, MD, at 7:00 pm.
Our repertoire spans the entire history of video games (1987 through 2015 for this season's program) and aims to showcase the vast variety of musical genres featured throughout (this season's repertoire stretches from music with influences reaching back to the pre-classical music, and on through Mussorgsky and Stravinsky, with some J-pop, lounge jazz and swing thrown in because why not).

We are a non-profit organization; the nominal ticket charges go to venue, instrument and rehearsal space rental costs. The last time we performed at this venue, it was sold out, so buying tickets in advance is strongly recommended. Tickets are $6 online, or $7 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

Aw man, I've always wanted to go to one of these and even more so now that I know there's a MeFi connection. But I've got a family obligation this Saturday, so maybe next year!

capricorn: If you were planning to attend Super Smash Con in August by any chance, we'll be performing there that Saturday evening, and otherwise the next concerts are in November. Now that I've figured out I can actually post here... :)
